The official Personal Data Protection Law (“PDP Law”) is anticipated to be submitted to the National Assembly for approval in May 2025 and is projected to take effect in January 2026, aiming to create a consistent legal framework, enhance domestic data protection capabilities, foster digital economy development, and ensure national security and data sovereignty.
