On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, ALTAS Corporation visited, shared, and delivered gifts to cancer patients being cared for at Rum Mi Shelter.

Introduction
In the warm atmosphere of reunion season, representatives from ALTAS Corporation and members of ALTAS Careers — a community initiative founded in July 2025 — made a heartfelt visit to Rum Mi Shelter.
The shelter provides free accommodation and daily meals for cancer patients, most of whom are children receiving treatment at the Oncology Hospital.

Listening and Sharing
The visit left a deep impression as we listened to Mother Cat Tuong, founder of Rum Mi Shelter.
She shared that her own child was diagnosed with cancer, and that personal journey inspired her to establish this shelter — to accompany, support, and nurture families facing similar hardships.

The stories we heard were profoundly moving: some children had lost a kidney before the age of four; some were blind; some had brain tumors since infancy; and others, battling throat cancer, could no longer eat or drink normally and had to be nourished through feeding tubes.
Yet despite everything, these children remain optimistic, pure, and kind-hearted, touching everyone’s hearts.
Small Gifts, Big Meaning
Thanks to the collective effort of ALTAS members and contributions from the company’s fund, ALTAS donated to Rum Mi Shelter as follows:
  • 50 gift sets for the children (each including a Mid-Autumn lantern, 2 packs of milk, and 100,000 VND in cash)
  • 11 boxes of milk and 100 kg of rice for daily meals
  • 5,000,000 VND converted into essential food supplies (fish, vegetables, and other fresh items), as the shelter does not accept cash donations

We know these contributions are modest compared to what the children truly need. But we hope each small gift and warm meal brings them a little comfort and strength in their journey.
Touching Moments
When ALTAS arrived, the children sat neatly in lines, accepted their gifts with bright eyes, and always said “thank you.”
Many of our team members were deeply moved — and these moments reaffirmed our belief in the value of community service.

The visit once again strengthened the spirit of ALTAS Careers and ALTAS Culture — not only developing professional skills but also nurturing compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility.
Building the ALTAS Spirit
Witnessing these moments firsthand, our ALTAS members feel even more inspired by our mission in building ALTAS Culture and developing ALTAS Careers — founded in July 2025 to foster unity and greater social contribution through ALTAS CSR programs.

Though our efforts may be small compared to what is needed, we will continue learning, working hard, and doing what we can to help those in need.

From there, we hope to cultivate a vibrant ALTAS culture, where meaningful youth and purposeful actions grow each day through community engagement.

Heartfelt Thanks
ALTAS expresses our sincere gratitude to Mother Cat Tuong and the staff and volunteers at Rum Mi Shelter for their warm welcome and touching stories.
We also thank every ALTAS member who participated and contributed — your kindness transforms small acts into meaningful change.

This article is written in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival — ALTAS Corporation hopes to bring a little joy and hope to the children of Rum Mi Shelter.
